MALE, Dec 23 (HNS) – The official ceremonies to mark Fishermen's Day has been postponed again, the fisheries ministry announced. The ceremony was first postponed to December 31 as Fishermen's Day -- which is marked on December 10 every year -- this time coincided with the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. The ceremony will now be held on January 22, according to the ministry. Fishermen's Day will be officially inaugurated in Haa Alifu atoll Hoarafushi. The island is now undertaking the task of preparing for the official ceremonies, the fisheries ministry said.
