Frank Lampard brushed off questions about a possible Champions League celebration after speculation suspended captain John Terry might collect the trophy if Chelsea beat Bayern Munich. Lampard will wear the captain's armband against Bayern in Saturday's showpiece final at the Allianz Arena after Terry was banned following his red card against Barcelona in the semi-finals.
It has been suggested that Terry could accept the trophy with Lampard should Chelsea emerge victorious from the final.
However Lampard said he had given no thought to the issue as he prepared to face the Germans.
"In terms of after the match we haven't spoken about it. I'm the world's worst at tempting fate and the idea of working out our celebrations before you've played the match just doesn't work for me," Lampard said.
Lampard however paid tribute to Terry's contribution to Chelsea's route to the final.
"John is our captain and we understand how much he feels for the club," Lampard. "He and everyone else in the squad has played a massive part. If we win or lose we'll be together."
