Police has sent the cases of Parliament Henveiru-South constituency MP Hamid Abdul Ghafoor and Maafannu-South constituency MP Ibrahim 'Bondey' Rasheed to the Prosecutor General's (PG) Office for prosecution. 						Official of the PGâ™s office stated that both, Hamid and Ibrahim Rasheed are being charged with the obstruction of police duties. In addition, police had also sent the case of Hamidâ™s refusal to provide a urine sample to the police, PG official said.
Maldives Police Services (MPS) detailed that Hamidâ™s case was sent to the PG on August 1 and Ibrahim Rasheedâ™s case was sent on August 6.
Police had previously sent Maafannu-North constituency MP Imthiyaz â˜Inthiâ™ Fahmyâ™s case of disobedience to the police, to the PG during June.
Inthi today said that the â˜coupâ™ government will charge MPs and the people with different accusations including obstruction of police work and terrorism.
