Former President of opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Dr Ibrahim Didi and Vice President Alhan Fahmy have signed for pro-government Jumhoory Party just moments ago. In addition to the two, former MDP Secretary General Hassan Shah has also followed suit during a function in Traders Hotel today.
Speaking during the function Dr Didi expressed confidence that his “bitter experience†of the past would not be repeated in Jumhoory Party.
Alhan said that despite claims that two political beliefs existed in the country, the reality is that one belief revolved around former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom while the other is dictated by former President Mohamed Nasheed.
