Park where Arham was found dead, to be taken to Kulliyyaa

Education Ministry has stated that it had decided to take over the park area where 16 year old Mohamed Arham was found stabbed to death early this morning. In a news conference by the Education Ministry today, Minister Dr Ahmed Asim said that the decision to take the area had been planned beforehand and that it was because “such activities had been common in isolated place like this,”

“This decision had been made earlier. But the implementation process had been delayed with the events related to the change in government. We are now trying to expedite the process, as such activities are common in isolated places like this,” Asim said.

Asim said that the Education Ministry cannot tolerate these acts of violence and that it condemns the brutal murder of Arham.

“Such acts cannot be tolerated. This act proves that we all need to stand up as one and work hard to curb such activities. We also call upon the relevant authorities to increase efforts in order to stop such activities, to find those responsible and to give them the strictest penalty applicable by law,” Asim said.
