Police have revealed the details of the 18 year old young woman accused of involvement in the brutal stabbing murder of prominent lawyer Ahmed Najeeb last night. Police detailed that in addition to Ahmed Murrath, 29 of Maafannu Masroora, 18 year old Fathimath Hana of Shaviyani Atoll Goidhoo, Rihaab was taken into custody over the murder.
It is believed that both the suspects are romantically involved while neighbors claimed that Hana had been living in Masroora with Murrath for a while.
During the investigation last evening, Hana had been taken into custody from the house of her lover and the scene where the body of the victim had been discovered.
While Police believe that both Hana and Murrath were involved the crime, rumors are rife that Najeeb had been murdered in a matter related to the young female suspect.
Police have yet to disclose detailed information over Najeeb’s murder, while the victim’s family has refused to comment on the incident.
