Juvenile Court hears witness testimonies in Bobby's murder case

Juvenile Court Sunday heard the testimonies of two witnesses over the brutal stabbing murder of Abdul 'Bobby' Muheeth of Galolhu Veyru last February. The State has charged three children with murder in the first degree, which have been denied by all three suspects.

The trials at the Juvenile Court are held in secret and hence the media is not allowed inside the courtroom.

A court official revealed that the testimonies of two witnesses was heard today where the voices had been altered to hide the identities of the two witnesses.

However, the official refused to disclose how the testimonies had been obtained citing discretion as the case involved children.

Official added that as the State had presented more witnesses, the testimonies would duly be heard by the court.

In addition, the child suspect who was afforded the right to an attorney during the last hearing, had appointed one for the hearing today, official said.

One of the suspects charged for the murder of Bobby has also been charged with terrorism by the State in the murder of 17 year old Mohamed Hussain of Maafannu Beauty Flower.

In addition to the three children, the State has also charged three people for Bobby’s murder at the Criminal Court.
